IETM Multi-location in Scotland
The local Plenary meeting in Scotland, United Kingdom, will be hosted by our member The Work Room. Please find below the introduction by the local host, as well as the local programme and practical information of the local meeting.
Given current travel and gathering restrictions, the meeting will focus on gathering the Scottish performing arts community. We encourage participants based outside of the UK to choose another location or to follow the content online.
Introduction by the local host
As we are still limited in how we can gather inside in Scotland, our invitation is to connect with the IETM programme virtually from your own space and also to create reflective space around this.
The Work Room is collaborating with IETM members across Scotland to create moments on the Friday morning to gather, and walk outside – with others or individually. For many of us, lockdown re-ignited our relationship with outdoors and green spaces in our neighbourhoods. We will use the practice of walking to reflect on localism and our international connections.
Registrations for this physical local meeting closed on 30 September. You can still join their online sessions in the full online programme.
Programme
The following on-site and online programme of the local meeting in Scotland prepared by the local host is complementary to the online participation in the main IETM online programme (marked as working sessions on the page), to which all the locations of the Multi-location Plenary will simultaneously connect on 1 and 2 October.
To connect to the online sessions, please click on the title of the session and you'll be redirected to the session page, where the link to connect is displayed.

Covid-19 regulations
Given current travel and gathering restrictions, the meeting will focus on gathering the Scottish performing arts community. We encourage participants based outside of the UK to choose another location or to follow the content online.
We will adhere to current Scottish Government guidelines in planning the walks on Friday 2 October and manage the numbers in groups gathering accordingly. Currently this only allows for up to 6 people from a maximum of 2 different households to gather out-of-doors, so we envisage pairs of people setting off on walks together. We are aware that this is a fluid situation and will continue monitor and adjust our approach accordingly if needed.
Accessibility
It is our aim to make IETM meetings as accessible as possible. However, it may not be possible to offer services at every location and, therefore, we recommend that you check the accessibility conditions of the location of your interest.
In order to meet the needs as much as possible, we collect your access requirements when you create your account and register for the meeting. Regarding speech-to-text captioning, we can only guarantee captions for the main IETM online programme (marked as working sessions on the page).
If you have any questions regarding the overall accessibility of the local meeting in Scotland, you are welcome to write to our Production Officer at francisca.salgueiro@ietm.org.
