On our way to the brainstorm, we published a series of five blog posts in which we explore the past, the present and the possible futures not only for our network but also for the performing arts sector as a whole, through the prism of sustainability:
Episode 0: How we will shape the future of the network together
The preliminary episode of the series brings an in-depth introduction to the journey ahead of us and explains the methodology we will follow.
Episode 1: The 5 promises and pressures of international cultural networking - Flashback to the eighties (and back)
The first episode of the series flashes back to past achievements of IETM from its misty origins in the early eighties until now, identifying the initial promises and pressures of international cultural networking and the conditions for the success.
Episode 2: The Pressure Radar: Mapping current unsustainable practices in the performing arts
The second episode of the series introduces the "Pressure Radar", an interactive online whiteboard to evaluate the results of the survey we circulated among our members at the dawn of the Rewiring project and map the current concerns and unsustainable practices within our sector.
Episode 3: The Promise Radar: Mapping current sustainable practices in the performing arts
The third episode of the series introduces the "Promise Radar", an interactive online whiteboard which, in the same way as the "Pressure Radar" from the previous episode, aids in evaluating the results of our survey to members and maps the promising and sustainable practices within our sector.
Episode 4: Designing sustainable futures for the performing arts
The fourth episode of the series recaps the main objectives of the Rewiring project and introduces the results of the large online brainstorm session held on 19 May, highlighting the main steps of the transition design process and presenting the future dominant sustainable practices and guiding values drawn by participants, in the form of two Radars accessible to everyone.
