10:30 – 12:30 Session 1: ʻNew Solutions for New Institutionsʼ What would be your ideal institution ?ʼ This session will explore the topic of innovative models of organisation and entrepreneurship in the cultural sector. What kind of institution would in its structure and legislative grounding be most appropriate for the needs of the current contemporary performing arts production in the Balkans – outside the usual duality of the state vs NGO, repertory vs Independent? Keynote speech by Zvonimir Dobrovic, Queer Zagreb, followed by working groups.

10:30 – 12:30 Session 2: “New models for new collaborations” will look into innovative artistic, organisational, political models that try to reach beyond the duality and propose good inspirational practice. What are the possible new, bold solutions in terms of cultural policies? How do artists juggle between the two time frames, two ways of working, two worlds? Can the operators from the independent sector and those from the more institutional one learn from one another and what can they bring to each other? We will look at examples of new collaborations and see why and how

they worked and what we can learn from them.
