La Fabbrica del Vapore (main venue)

La Fabbrica del Vapore, a complex of industrial heritage buildings, promotes contemporary multidisciplinary arts and is an exceptional centre for productions and residencies. Administered by Milan’s city hall, the organisation is currently under deep transformation towards a more open and accessible model.
Accessibility
The building complex is wheelchair accessible.
IETM sessions will take place on the first floor of the building located next to the Vapore 1928 restaurant. There is a lift to the first floor. There is one accessible toilet available on the first floor and one on the ground floor.
Performances of the artistic programme will take place in the central building of the complex, named Cattedrale. This building offers wheelchair access via a ramp on the right end side entrance. There is no level access available from the left hand side entrance.
The late night meeting point will be hosted by Casa del Popolo Elettronico. The entrance from inside the complex is step free. The venue is wheelchair accessible, though the ground is unlevel.

Palazzo Lombardia (Welcome speech)

Palazzo Lombardia is a building complex that hosts the Government of the Italian region of Lombardy.
Accessibility
Located on the 1st floor of the N4 building, Sala Biagi is a large, natural lighted, step-free room. There is a lift which is fitted with voice commentary in Italian. There is one accessible toilet located on the first floor.
Note that guests are requested to leave an identity document at the reception in order to enter the building.

Metro line 3 - stop: Gioia.

Parco Sempione - Teatro Continuo di Burr (Farewell brunch)

Parco Sempione is a vast green space very close to the Castello Sforzesco and the Milanese’s favourite park. The English landscape park was established between 1890 and 1893.
Located at the heart of the park, the Teatro Continuo is a stage structure reduced to the essential, consisting of a platform raised from the ground and six side wings rotating painted white on one side and black on the other.

Zona K

DiDstudio

DiDstudio was founded in 2005 in Milan in order to offer young artists a place of research, education, experimentation and production, in the fields of dance and new technologies.

Located at the entrance of La Fabbrica del Vapore, DiDstudio is accessible by a ramp. Accessible toilets can be found in the next building inside the Vapore 1928 restaurant.

Piazza Gae Aulenti

The Piazza Gae Aulenti is the epicenter of Milan’s most modern neighborhood. The square was inaugurated on 8 December 2012 and is dedicated to the renowned female architect Gae Aulenti.

The square is accessible for wheelchair users coming from the west of Milan via elevators that lead to Viale Luigi Sturzo and an underpass that leads to the Milan Porta Garibaldi Station; from the north via a pedestrian avenue that connects the square to Via Gaetano de Castillia; from the east through a walkway that crosses Via Melchiorre Gioia; and from the south by means of a pedestrian bridge that surpasses Via Gaspare Rosales leading into Via Vincenzo Capelli and up to Corso Como.
