What do we envision as the modalities of exchange of the future? What will trans-mission(s) mean for future generations of artists, performing arts professionals, the communities who benefit from our practices, as well as future generations of audiences?
This Open Forum is supposed to explore the idea of transmission in all its possible meanings. Think about the myriad of different discussions we can have around knowledge, experience and communication. Think about the intergenerational and peer-to-peer dialogues, the questions about artistic education, training, heritage, around the mechanism of power transfer and rites of passage.
This Open forum is dedicated to building a frame for conversations and collective outputs about the issues that hold the future of the performing arts sector in Europe and around the world.
Participants will be invited to work together about this theme, coming up with the topic that they want to place on the agenda themselves and sharing thoughts in the frame of self-managed workshops.
At the end of this session, all the groups will be able to meet, debrief and exchange about this collective experience.
A lunch break is planned for from 13:30 to 14:30 and we will have some morning coffee and snacks around 11:00.

Digital technologies are an integral part of the performance world and are changing our relationship to performance. We invite you to visit a space where art, research and technology are working in the same effervescence, where artistic creation rhymes with social innovation.
The LabLab is an artistic laboratory, a research and creation space for new audiovisual, immersive and interactive experiences. This creative hive brings together a community of makers in the arts and digital technology: it stimulates the mutualisation of spaces, equipment, technologies and skills through the dynamics of sharing and mutual support.
A visit of this digital creation space will be proposed by the two co-sponsors: AADN, which works for the development of digital arts and culture, and Theoriz studio, creators of state-of-the-art digital experiential environments. We will be able to meet some of the LabLab's residents: Natacha Paquignon, who develops a choreographic and digital language based on interactive devices designed for dance, and the visual artist Margot Raymond.

No matter how atrocious and particular #MeToo cases are, they are never only related to an individual perpetrator. Sexual harassment and sexual abuse are forms of structural violence and are thus deeply entangled with the dominant gender, racial, economic and power structures.
Following an online session held as part of the SHIFT – Shared Initiatives for Training on October 6, this participatory discussion will dive deeper into sexual harassment, bullying and power abuse in the European art field and focus on the steps networks can take together to combat sexual harassment and power abuse.

Visit of the neighbourhood of La Saulaie

Grounded between the railway and the A7 motorway, La Saulaie is an old working-class district that used to be home to the SNCF railway workshops. Between industrial wastelands and run-down buildings, the Metropolis of Lyon and the Municipality of Oullins are designing a "revitalised sustainable eco-district". Rehabilitation, transformation, development... The urban development project is planned over a dozen years with the aim of improving the living environment, opening up the city centre and improving connections with the urban area.
How do the inhabitants participate in defining this urban project? What role do performing arts and culture play in this transformation? The actors of the urban project will guide us through the district of La Saulaie, its history and the projects that are being drawn up, its working class culture and the culture that could be invented there.

Visit of the neighbourhood of La Saulaie

Grounded between the railway and the A7 motorway, La Saulaie is an old working-class district that used to be home to the SNCF railway workshops. Between industrial wastelands and run-down buildings, the Metropolis of Lyon and the Municipality of Oullins are designing a "revitalised sustainable eco-district". Rehabilitation, transformation, development... The urban development project is planned over a dozen years with the aim of improving the living environment, opening up the city centre and improving connections with the urban area.
How do the inhabitants participate in defining this urban project? What role do performing arts and culture play in this transformation? The actors of the urban project will guide us through the district of La Saulaie, its history and the projects that are being drawn up, its working class culture and the culture that could be invented there.

In this performance, the ten co-authors from Conakry to Grenoble assert their contractual ties against the migration policies that try to separate them. Whether they have valid papers to stay in France, they are seeking asylum, or they are prohibited from staying here, they work together and invoke a principle of co-dependence. Enriched by meetings with legal system professionals, documentaries, archives and oral histories, this activism, which is both artistic and legal, highlights the need for acts of resistance.

Simultaneously a historical and aesthetic piece of research, Laboratoire Poison opens onto a vast site on which various resistance movements between 1943 and 1976 and their repression are depicted.
Is theatre capable of revealing certain shifts and weak points in various resistance movements, without actually damaging the sense of these struggles?
Adeline Rosenstein explores all the options of theatrical arts and tackles these questions head on to examine our need for glorious stories with honesty, humour and intelligence.

Wo-Man is the story of a beautiful encounter between dancer Nangaline Gomis and choreographer Amala Dianor, whom she asked to perform an extract from her solo Man Rec as part of her studies at the CNSMD in Lyon. The choreographer then reflected on the transmission of this solo created in 2014 and which has continued to tour on international stages ever since. Conceived as a dialogue between its multiple origins – from urban dances to contemporary dance – questioning the identity of the individual and their relationship to others, Man Rec is the founding piece of a hybrid and embodied writing which imposes its singularity in the landscape of contemporary dance.

Three different perspectives on the period of war in Lebanon. What connects them? The theatre. Hanane Hajj Ali and Randa Asmara decided to become actors at the start of the 1980s, in the middle of a civil war in Beirut. Chrystèle Khodr belongs to the post-war generation. She creates a stage for the two actors, who retrace their theatre career and try to reconstruct the memory of this fragmented city.
Blending fiction and personal accounts, they try to draw a map of places that are now gone during the performance. What is it like to do theatre in a war-torn country? This is an opportunity to examine the relationship that these artists maintain with their profession and the need to perform in the last free place.

Rêverie Carcasse unfolds the relationship between a body and the person who inhabits it. In turn costume, puppet or animated landscape, the body is embodied in the material, to make existential questions sensitive: What is it to be a body? What else are we? And how can we recognise ourselves in it?

La Mère Coupable (EN: The Guilty Mother) or L'Autre Tartuffe (EN: The Other Tartuffe) is a drama in five acts completed in 1792. It is the third and final part of Figaro's trilogy, after The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro.
Twenty years after Figaro's famous wedding, in full revolutionary effervescence, the Almaviva family returns from Mexico and stops in Paris. We find the Count and Rosine, Figaro and Suzanne, Léon, illegitimate child of the Countess, Florestine, ward of the Count, as well as the Irishman Bégearss who covets the fortune of the Count and the hand of Florestine...
In this little-known episode, Beaumarchais talks about family secrets, love and death, underprivileged children, male domination, fanatic religiosity, dreamed independence and constructed and nurtured female guilt. Another way of telling the story of political manipulation and compromise.
A saga between drama and comedy, in which we will see that it is always fun to talk about the troubles of the bourgeoisie while playing on the liveliness and cheerfulness of a text that resonates surprisingly today.

La Mère Coupable (EN: The Guilty Mother) or L'Autre Tartuffe (EN: The Other Tartuffe) is a drama in five acts completed in 1792. It is the third and final part of Figaro's trilogy, after The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro.
Twenty years after Figaro's famous wedding, in full revolutionary effervescence, the Almaviva family returns from Mexico and stops in Paris. We find the Count and Rosine, Figaro and Suzanne, Léon, illegitimate child of the Countess, Florestine, ward of the Count, as well as the Irishman Bégearss who covets the fortune of the Count and the hand of Florestine...
In this little-known episode, Beaumarchais talks about family secrets, love and death, underprivileged children, male domination, fanatic religiosity, dreamed independence and constructed and nurtured female guilt. Another way of telling the story of political manipulation and compromise.
A saga between drama and comedy, in which we will see that it is always fun to talk about the troubles of the bourgeoisie while playing on the liveliness and cheerfulness of a text that resonates surprisingly today.

Of Franco-Senegalese origin, from hip hop culture, he develops a virtuoso and transgressive dance that crosses different styles: African dance, hip hop, contemporary and neo-classical. Extension is a duo created with Bboy Junior - world breakdance star - designed as a nod to their first stage joust during the 20th anniversary of the Suresnes Cité Danse Festival in 2012.

Remaining in this partition, scarred, half-burned, strained from the anger of those disappeared beyond the roads and the blades of sharp silences. I have escaped on the whole. And I pretend to watch a nightmare, an action that happens in five movements: Exile, Border, Wandering, Death, Transition.
